📌 What is a Job Application Letter?
A job application letter (also called a cover letter) is a formal letter that you send with your resume when applying for a job. It introduces you to the employer and explains why you are the best candidate for the position.
🎯 Purpose of Job Application Letter:
To introduce yourself to the employer
To express your interest in the job position
To highlight your skills and qualifications
To request an interview or meeting
💡 Remember: A good job application letter makes the employer want to read your resume and invite you for an interview!
🏗️ Structure of Job Application Letter
1. Heading (Kepala Surat)
Contains:
- • Your full name and address
- • Your phone number and email
- • Date of writing
2. Inside Address (Alamat Tujuan)
Contains:
- • Name of the person (if known)
- • Job title
- • Company name and address
3. Salutation (Salam Pembuka)
Examples:
• "Dear Mr./Ms. [Last Name]," (formal)
• "Dear Hiring Manager," (if name unknown)
• "Dear Human Resources Department,"
4. Opening Paragraph (Paragraf Pembuka)
State the position you're applying for and how you learned about it.
5. Body Paragraph (Isi Surat)
Explain your qualifications, skills, experience, and why you're a good fit.
6. Closing Paragraph (Paragraf Penutup)
Express enthusiasm, request an interview, and thank the reader.
7. Complimentary Close & Signature
Examples:
• "Sincerely,"
• "Respectfully,"
• "Best regards,"
Followed by your signature and typed name.

1. Formal Language
